Just trying to find out what the rules are with this.
Got a unfinnished lambo copy on its own chassis, and a V5 for the car the engine came from.
Does that mean I need Engine + 2 other major components to get age related plates ?
I can remember seeing somewhere a points system for this but cannot remember where.
Who checks the parts listed as being "other mojor parts" are from the same car ?
Thanks
TBW

If you have the engine then you will only need 1 (one) other major component from the same donor car to get an age related registration.

DVLA will do the checks (you'll need to take it to them to inspect [they can come out, but apparently they're quite booked up]).

So if I tell them the hubs, parts of the suspention are from the same car and they are not, will it get noticed ?

That will depend on the inspector, some know a lot about cars and some don't.

I'm guessing (have to because you haven't said) that the engine is a Rover v8 from and SD1, and that it isn't going to be easy (almost impossible) for you to get enough points to qualify for an age related plate legitimately?
