Those mirrors HAVE to go

Those original S1 mirrors are crap! I was trying to reverse the car yesterday and I may aswell have not had any mirrors, they're useless! I would like a straight swap, something easy to fit. Any ideas?

I'm with the MX-5 mirrors - picks below - very easy to obtain & fit...and they actually serve their purpose

Thanks guys. I'll go raid a scrappers yard and see if I can find the relevant bits from an MX5. Is it any particular model of MX5 that I'm looking for?

You ideally want Mk1 or Mk2 manual mirrors.

Later ones had electric mirrors (that could be a challenge ! )

Mk1 MX5 Mirrors.. they are very light. Here are some of mine £35 the pair.. To be honest this is probably the single best thing I have done to my car.. I think they look great coloured to match the body.. although chrome and some other specials are available.. The question do you sand off the Mazda test on the underside..?

Nope I was having some spray work done and had then done as part of that job.

Halfords were able to supply the paint though as DIY was my first plan.

I have Mk1 MX5 mirrors. If you search for replacement MX5 mirrors on google, you will get many options. I bought non-mazda units as the red colour was spot on match with my red S2 so didnt even have to spray them. About 40 pounds if i remember.
