My E39 528 had black trim from the factory...

Does this mean it was special in some way? Everything else is standard, its a late 99 V reg SE, I just never have seen a non sport E39 without chrome. It has been suggested elsewhere that it may have had sports suspension... It is a bit sharper than the other E39 I drove, but that one was tired (with half the miles mine has I might add) Any way of finding out the original spec options from when my car was new?

Iv had a few of these in the past,i think its a sports pack,think it should have sports seats as well,but doesnt come with the mtec bumpers,sills,wheels,etc etc,your bmw dealer should be able to print you off a spec sheet no probs

Someone just specced it that way. Shadowline trim or something like that.
