TVR Servicing around Salisbury...

...well it'll be "that time" again in a few hundred miles so does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get a Chim serviced local to Salisbury?

Dorset Jaguar and Sports Cars have recently relocated to Three Legged Cross http://www.dorsetsportscars.co.uk, and they employ Andy Bennett, a trained TVR mechanic from Westover TVR and Nigel Mansell, and apparently he also used to maintain Tuscan Challenge cars.

Also, there is Nigel Hudson at Red-Mist Sports Cars at Blandford http://www.nhautos.co.uk/about.html. Nigel used to work for Nigel Mansell TVR.

Awesome! Thanks! Both seem about the same time/distance from where I live so does anyone have any particular preference for one or the other?

I used to trek accross to Bordon and use Andy APM.

I've used Andy at APM in Bordon ever since i got my first Tiv nearly 8 yrs ago. He also prepares Tuscan Challenge cars and is great at setting up cars for road or track. First class service and customer support and not bad prices aswell.Used to be TVR garage on Harnham Ind Est but is now gone. Definately would recommend the extra time, miles and fuel to get to APM.

Oddly my car is currently at "New Garage" in Harnham and the guy that was supposed to be sorting my car out appears to have worked for a TVR garage beforehand ...

...unfortunately when I phoned them Thursday to see if my car was ready (supposedly just needed new plugs) I was told that he hadn't turned up for work that morning, no-one knew where he was and so my car wouldn't be looked at until the new year.

Not a good start!

Anyone got the details for APM?

Bassfiend; If you just want simple mechanical stuff doing, Pete Gill at Sprint (in Amesbury) is well into 'proper' cars and although not a TVR man he will look after your P&J with care. Did stuff on my old S2. Other than that it's trek to one of the specialists such as Racing Green (Farnboro) or Neil Garner at Kemble. If you have an aftermarket ECU then Slark (also Amesbury) have a dyno and expertise.
