Ebay 'buy it now' protection?
Discussion
Did search, honest, but got lost in the responses so thought I'd ask the question directly.
Other half has desires on a handbag but availability is scarce to say the least.
Have seen on advertised on Ebay at a price that is a good saving (about 60% of shop price), but not so low to get all the alarm bells ringing (brand new without tags) and the buyer has good feedback for selling other clothing/fashion lablelled items (though this is the highest ticket item she seems to have listed). Have asked if she had proof of purchase but has been lost.. ok I throw receipts away too.
Question is, it's being offered as 'buy it now' or 'make me an offer' - what protection do I get if it turns out to be not as expected, and is the protection the same whether I pay the full 'buy it now' or 'make an offer'?
Have bought plenty of stuff off ebay via auction before, but its always been used/practical stuff - as long as it did the job not worried about it - but this is 'designer' and her ladyship is veeery fussy

It's a Mulberry one.
When I bought my otherhalf a Chole Paddington from an online seller (shop, not ebay) I found a website called The Purse Forum. Its very good, and can help you learn what to look for, and how to spot fakes.
