WTF?

PH launched a pop-up at me!

I made a post and the 'thank you for posting page' had a 'Nokia' and a 'Quick Credit Score' banner on it, but the page also launched an AOL pop-up!

Am at work, so can't install an ad obliterator; surely this is an intrusion too far, though?

PH has always been anti-popup so i'd be suprised if it changed now.

A friend of a friend has become a multi millionair by starting up a company that intrudes us on a daily basis by adverts popping up etc.

Yep, we are massively anti-popups and wince at roll-over expandable ads (though some major companies get through the net on the expandables if they are particularly relevant).

I will have a word with the ad delivery team to see if we can find the ad that caused it and get it removed from the site.

I just dont understand all these moans about adverts when its so easy to get rid of them altogether.

Its worth doing a spyware/adware scan too, as mystery popups can often be from nasties rather than the actual site you're on.

Lavasoft Adaware, Spybot S&D etc.
