Went for a drive in a Focus RS today, far more impressed than I thought I would be!
First reg May 2003, 71K miles, first owner from then until June this year, second owner had it repossessed by finance company hence its now for sale at a local dealer. The car looks in spotless condition all over, and with the first owner for 6 years there's no reason to say it been abused.
However there's no service history with the car at present, although the dealer is contacting the previous owner to try and find it. Should I be unduly worried about this? Get it serviced straight away if I buy it? At this mileage would the timing belt need changed for example? Anything else I should be looking for/aware of?
Thanks for any advice, very tempted with the car.

Was going to buy from a dealer then found it had been written off, dealer wasn't going to say anything
Was first suspicious after no records were on offer...

Good choice of car smile cambelt is due at 100k but did mine at 60k, better safe than sorry i wouldn worry too much about the history but make sure the car is checked out by someone who knows the cars. Mine is at 75k now and main faults have been gearbox rebuild and turbo. Front shocks will want doing if not been done yet and they are expensive.
