Having found my 360 F1, I'm going to treat myself to a Christmas exhaust present and that's where I want to know your thoughts... My ideal car will not blister your eardrums around town and at 85mph on the motorway, but bury the right foot and there's an explosion and goose-bump raising howl like a F1 car....

I hear various views for Capristo, Larini and Tubi, plus some people have offered ideas on less well known systems... What's your view for an unparalleled aural feast?

Hi there, I have a 360 spider (manual) fitted with a Tubi. It sounds UNBELEIVABLE but there is no let up even when cruising its loud and I wouldn.t have it any other way. It also looks real nice when you lift the engine cover, very highly polished stainless steel. I have read the Capristo sounds bettre but I struggle to see how it can out do the Tubi. Put the standard exhaust on EBAY and you will get takers too.

I changed from a tubi to a capristo on my old 360, i found the tubi too boomy, the capristo was awesome..
A standard exhaust on e-bay wont make the reserve even if you set it at a tenner !!
Now go buy a capristo, wrap it & put it under the tree..

Anthony,
keep the standard exhaust in the garage and then put it back on when you sell the car.
assuming you buy a capristo or a tubi you'll be able to sell it privately for not much less than you paid for it.

as to which, hmmm the Tubi has a lower note, it sounds amazing at full bore, the capristo is higher pitched and screams like an F1 car (imo)

bear in mind you have various levels (Capristo)
level 1 is not much louder than standard but the note is nicer.
level 2 (which is what i have) is a fair bit louder but very tuneful indeed.
level 3 is ear drum splitting smile

You're more than welcome to come and have a listen if you're down in London, i have a spider so you get the most of the noise!
a friend has a tubi on his modena, he lives just around the corner.

Tubi apparently boomier but i have no cats so mines a monster (+ stage 3)
Cappy is very good and apparently more crisp. Although i heard a level 1 Cappy and it was Crappy...sounded like a hairdryer! On the 355 i think the feedback is a def more in favour of the Cappy but on 360 its mixed.
Both are good but if you want it a bit more throatier get the Tubi otherwise Cappy. Both will give you an unbelievable scream on full pelt.
Decat if you hate your neighbours biggrin

Im surprised at the post ref selling the standard exhaust on EBAY. They are bought by folks building replicas and are in good demand well into 3 figures, £300 plus i would say.

and you want to help them? wink

if you sell the standard one you then have to sell your own car with the tubi/cappy on it,
1. you wont get the extra value.
2. the buyer may not like it.

just my 2p

Bachi's 360 does sound awesome. And he's done the right thing by not decatting it because you can always do that later if you want more noise. I bought the car with the current set-up...lucky for me the seller he found someone who is as nutty as him!

I'd say the stage 2 is a good level to have though

Anyone know anyone that has had a Kriessieg on their 360. After hearing the G with it, I love the note... But I have to say the Fab Speed was unbelievable!

Harsh, I remember your exhaust note - sounds really cool

I had a tubi on my 360 and whilst it was awesome when used in anger, it became very boomy on trailing throttle around london. If you do alot of town driving, I would avoid it.

Keep your old exhaust. When you have finished with the car then put it back on and sell the upgrade. You will get more money this way- though your car will be more saleable with the upgrade...

After hearing a few different systems I would go for a Cappy level 2 if money is not a factor, fantastic sound and excellent build quality, however I've not long fitted a Nouvalari system to my spider. Very happy with it. No booming and quite loud. I've also just got a set of Tubi test pipes that I will be fitting at some point, will be interesting to hear what it sounds like after that.

The Tubi, as mentioned above, is too boomy. The Capristo is far superior in every way, it's build quality and sound are in a different league. The Tubi is a mass-produced system, the Capristo more specialised.

Capristo all the way.

Kriessieg would be my first choice, Capristo second. I heard a back to back difference between a Kriessieg and a Tubi, the difference was huge. There are plenty of youtube clips of 360's with all 3 systems, not the same as hearing it in the flesh, but it will give you the general idea.

At that price the Kreissieg is beyond my budget, looks like a handmade or a Capristo... Level 2 or level 3

Give James at Eurospares a shout, I'm sure he'll do you a deal on a Capristo.
