Hi all,

I'm looking to go snowboarding towards the end of January and quite fancy Soldeu in Andorra, as its easy going, inexpensive and good for a novice snowboarder. Also, it tends to be quite sunny, which is not something I could say for Livingo last year (b@st@rd freezing!!).

Does anyone know whether it's a bit of a risk chancing Andorra in January from a snowfall viewpoint? I know Andorra isn't as snowsure as much of the Alps but is there a better time to go (later in the season perhaps?) I know that nobody has a crystal ball but I'm looking for views based on previous years snowfall or experience.

Thanks for any help.

Pretty much everywhere tends to be cold in January, but Andorra's certainly no worse than the alps.

Snow coverage is normally pretty good thanks to the altitude, end of Jan shouldn't be any problems at all.

The Sport is tempting but a bit pricey, although I'm trying to work out whether the Sport and the Sport Village is one and the same. Other hotel that seems worth a look is Piolets.
