Leather interior retrimmers in the Midlands?

Does anyone know of anyone? The steering wheel on my car being French has decided to fk up, like 400 other peoples.

A new steering wheel is crazy money so I'd like to look into the cost of getting it retrimmed.

http://www.aldridge.co.uk/ and they will do a real triff job. They have done two of my past motors (TR7 & TR V8) back in the 90's and still do our works catering van seats.

Bit of a vague question but do you have any idea roughly how much it would cost to retrim my steering wheel? It is currently stitched leather (apparently its real leather) so I'd assume that would need unstitching and then a new bit of leather going on.

Re trimming of a steering wheel is circa £250 I used to do them but I try and avoid it as do many other trimmers. There is another lad in Solihull doing them

There's a guy on ebay who retrims wheels. He lives in/near Oxford. I've had one off him for my M3 and it's nicely done. He's called Jacek and is on 07894 209349. His seller id on ebay is jamiza. Might be worth giving him a bell. He does leather and alcantara, or a mix of both and prices seem to range from £100-£150.

Probably because it's a bit of a bh to do (as far as I understand it) and I would have thought you need to use high quality materials as it is in constant "contact"..

I'd imagine that a steering wheel is pretty difficult to get right. Here's a pic of mine following the retrim by the chap I mentioned above........

That looks superb. What made you go for a retrim? Also how did it work? Did you leave the car with him and he did everything, or did you have to remove the wheel and send it to him?

How long did it take him to do it?

Friend used them for seat re-trim on his classic

Highly recommend them though I don't know if they re-trim steering wheels
