Rather than adding another grey/navy/black overcoat to the world what’s the general opinion of this Prince Of Wales check job:

Link to the coat in question

Dashing, or a bit too much?

If you have the body of an Armani model you'll pull it off.

If not, you'll look like a spiv.

And that's worse than an ugly tt in black overcoat?

I feel you are a conservative bunch, what about camel overcoats?

Depends on your shape. Only a tall trim type would really pull off that level of check and high lapels.

Nice jacket though.

That needs doing as well.

Anyone got Gok Wan's number?

Might as well go for the full makeover.

Go Burberry. I've had a coat of their's for 18 years now (plain black, not that appalling check ste) and the quality is unsurpassed).

ETA - the Burberry "check ste", not the OP's one. I happen to think that's rather nice.

Its ok, that!

I have a Turnbull & Asser number in a not dissimilar colour, it looks pretty good, but then I am 6,1 and not fat, so as said above it would suit that body type.

I do see the bore with black overcoats, but Hugo Boss and Paul Smith certainly do some nice ones that can sometimes look a little different.

Either way, wait untill boxing day and you will find that they are suddenly half price. And guess what, they still make a pofit wink
