Do you have a preference for which side of the bed you sleep on and is your partner in agreement?

As you look at the bed from the foot of it, or as you're sat in it? (Which is left and which is right?)

Well looking towards my feet, I am on the left hand side, my dad also slept on the left, is it a throw back from having your sword on the floor ready so assuming you slept on your left side, you could put your right arm down and pick it up, does that make sense?

These days I keep a basball bat on the floor laugh

Good point: Lying in bed.

ETA: I have now edited the title of the thread to reflect this omission. This oversight and avenue of potential confusion was uncovered by some deft detective work by PHs very own Baldrick Poirot.

I had thought about that...but then thought the poll might get very long, taking into account same sex relationships.
It should also really be split by left/right handedness too.

Oh. In that case, please can you change my vote from right to left?

Actually though, you need extra categories of "nearest to the door" and "furthest from the door" for anyone who has a wife and small children.

This is new on me, and clearly a truism as pugwash has just said.

We're the reverse. She always sleeps closest to the door so she can bolt to the kids if she feels the need.

If anyone gets into our house uninvited and mean harm, then I'm damned if they get to her first.
