MSCDEX.EXE / Bootable DVD Compatibility?
Discussion
Hi folks,
Thanks to the utterly dire performance of the network here I have been tasked with creating a bootable DVD ROM with the respective PowerQuest images on.
What I want to do is use the DOS MSCDEX.EXE driver to load DOS drivers for the (bootable) DVD-ROM in order to load my PQ script / image combo.
I've never tried this, so can anyone confirm if it works or not? Given the laptop image here is about 2Gb, a CDR is a non starter.
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Thanks Podie. The DVD ROM drive is for the laptops...think I'm going to create a boot CD for the desktops, no idea what the network issue is. Its going through about 3 hubs and auto sensing speed through all of them, and I can't be bothered to go argue the case with the sandal wearers.
Cheers mate.
