I am going to visit a friend who is on remand ( Aussie boy getting deported ) in Wandsworth.

Now I have to be there for 9am for a 9.30 appointment.

I live In Uxbridge and was going to get the Piccadilly line to earls court and then get District to east putney then use the folding bike to get the rest fo the way.

Now this moring the tubes were delayed because of snow ! Piccadilly was down, and the met was delayed. Now if that happens anybody suggest a different way of getting there ?

From uxbridge to wansworth for 9am ? I wouldn;t even know when to set off, let alone park etc etc.

Thing is if you are late you are screwed.

Folding bike is great though so might figure out how to get to clapham on the train as a back up.

The trains were delayed by a broken down train at Rayners Lane not snow as far as I was told. Trains seem to be leaving Uxbridge at the moment I can hear them rumbling out.

Your right, not snow, but they are warning of 2 inches!!!!!!! tomorrow and that might not be worth attempting to get on the tube.

Oh well i can only try.

Wow, what did he do to get deportation order?

I would go to CJ and then on myself. there's very little network between the inner west (zone 2ish) london and the SW areas like Wandsworth unfortunately.

You're near-ish Heathrow at Uxbridge? My housemate catches a train from CJ to work near Heathrow each day but I don't know which station it is. Maybe you could do a park-n-ride type from near Heathrow to Clapham Junction and from there it's a short bus ride.

Thanks for the info, what did he do? well he came over here on a tourist visa, stayed for 3 years, leaving every 6 months and coming back in to renew his tourist visa, he worked for the MoD on RAF bases working on Chinooks and some security level equipment for 2 1/2 of those years.

He popped out to France for my birthday this summer after 7 months in england, went to fly back in, they refused saying he over stayed his last visa, flew to Ireland to try and get on a fishing boat to england, they refused him and they found out he had been working for the MoD, flew him back to France, blacklisted him for 10 years, he then smuggled himself in in the back of a car, went back to work.

Last weekend he ran round a bar with his c0ck out went and hugged some woman naked, she rang the police and they arrested him for sexual assault, questioned him, then let him go, he went back to work, 2 weeks later immergation arrested him for the visa stuff.

Tha is why his is on remand.

Wonder if the MoD are going to get fined by the Border Agency for allowing someone to work on a visit visa.

Leaving aside the issue of Security Clearance.

Quite! How the fk did he get away with that. I work for mod and home office and hmps though to be fair the raf is not as hot on sc as hmps that i have seen so far. Have spent a lot of time in wandsworth in fact used to go there for tea and biscuits. Even got special on site parking priveledges. Not a bad prison very imposing from the outside though. Driving there if you havent got onsite parking is pretty much a no no as its all res permit parking in that area.
