bmw service - 6 years plus?

i read somewhere a while ago that bmw give a large % off labour rates on servicing for cars over 6 years old, is this right? if so, how much discount, and is there a limit to the age? anyone know their standard labour rate?

More important than any publicised discounts is to haggle and price match with dealers versus independents. I got Dick Bartlett Hungerford down from £373 to £234 as they price matched a local BMW Specialist for a major service on our 320d.

thanks. i phoned them up and it would be a little over £80 per hour. still too much when i get a very, very good indy for £45 per hour.
