Slight front end vibration when changing lanes at 60+ mph
Discussion
Hi All,
I was driving the Golf today when I felt a slight vibration when changing lanes on the motorway at over 60 mph. Under that speed there I can't detect it.
There is no vibration when I am going straight ahead at motorway speeds, though moving to the left and right (small amount of steering input), causes the vibration.
Before I take it to a garage, I wanted to get some opinions on what could be the cause.
What I have checked:
Wheel bolts all done up correctly
All tyres are OK, no bulges, flat spots, punctures, embedded foreign objects
No obvious play when I jack up each side & give the wheels a wobble
Discs look OK & track evenly in the calipers
From what I can see, not balance weights have come off the wheels
Over to you guys!

I currently have something similar but mine is the wheel bearings are shot, probably not in your case or you would know from the sound at 40+ mph (metal wearing on metal sound).
I've also had something similar in the past when one of my track rod ends perished and split, although again the vibration was again felt in a straight line at 50+.
I'd jack the car up and check the bearings and rod ends, check this video and description for help:

Check your tyre pressures are all even all around.
