Good restaurant required, Aylesbury -ish

Want to have a quality meal out after xmas and looking for recommendations.

Currently considering:

Compleat Angler Marlow
Five Arrows Waddesdon
Kings Head Ivinghoe

Sorry I can't add any venues but if you haven't been to the Kings Head you really should.

The venue, service and presentation are a world apart from the clinical modern restaurant experience, but somehow that just adds to the charm and the food is excellent. Don't drive there they have an after dinner cocktail

Cheers Mattley, looking at the Kings Head webby, I think we may try the sunday roast deal and if as good as people say, then go again later for the full menu.

Add to that, its only about 10 minutes from home...

+1 Just been rebuilt after the fire, very good food and nice surroundings.
