upside down map

just bought a tomtom start, and hate the way it keeps the map upright,
and the arrpow moves about, a bit like turning a map book upside down so left is left and right is right, any help, or have i bought the wrong machine.

I wanted one where the map rotates, and the arrow stays pointing north, so right is right, left is left.

Bound to get some silly replies, but hope for a useful one.

The thing i'm talking about, probably has a name.

If one is available, what's the chance i can exchange the still new, but unwrapped for what i want.

On most Satnavs just change the map settings to "In driving direction"

I dont have a TomTom but on mine their is a settings section in the menu, sure you'll find it under maps direction, views, etc

Look for Change Preferences/3D
