washer nipple problem !!

Whilst giving the V8S a shammy after a wash at the weekend I think I may have been a little over vigorous and caught the windscreen washer ‘nipple’ thing. It came clean off, the top snapping off from the bottom piece embedded in the body. It was getting cold & dark and so as a quick fix I have glued it back on, but I don’t think that this will last.

Has anyone else suffered this problem? I could not see an easy way to access the area under the bulkhead to replace the ‘nipple’. Any tips or part numbers to fix this problem.

Whay!! Sounds a bit rude!!

Not really too sure, maybe you could try relapcing them with some aftermarket ones off a mini or somthing. I was going to look at it when the weather improved.

Just abandon it (mine was never very effective) and add a spray bar system as used on the later models. This way you get water over the whole area swept by the wipers, none sprayed off in other random directions, and no more blocked nozzles.

The spray bar system works brilliantly. I got mine of a scrap peugoet but they are in expensive new, simply clip on the wiper arm. You need to buy a 'tee' peice to divert the water to the two spray bars (motor factor) and buy some tube. Loads of cars use them, including my Vito van!

I think you can access the pipe from underneath with some buggeration, idealy fish it through the existing hole, try wire or turning a screw into the broken end if you can get to it.

Apparently it's possible to purchase some very tasteful types nowadays that actually illuminate during the hours of darkness. Fancy that!

Really!!! Man I got to get me some of these!!! My car would look soo bling!! Then some PHAT alloys and a MAAASIIIIVE Spoiler.

No I was thinking more along the lines of the chrome, twin jets that I have on my mini. About £7 a pair.
