Snow and your work colleagues

Why is it always the same people that at the merest hint of snow immediately start phoning in and claiming they are cut off and cannot possibly make it to work. As if some parts of Surrey are actually miles from civilisation and cannot be escaped from without Huskies and Sir Ranulph as a guide.

On a related note. Why don't ANY companies bk these people!

(Not a very good rant, but you'll be pleased to know thats it)

Simple solution is to amend contracts to state that the first day of ANY absence isn't paid.
