I think that chain might have gone across the room a few times before I finished it.

Excellent work.

That is amazing. I actually have that exact kit, sat still boxed under the stairs at home. When I eventually get round to it, it will no doubt look completely st compared to this guys efforts!

I am astounded at the results some people can get with these things.

I think it's great how he's managed to make that incredibly complex metal chain look exactly like the original plastic one. biglaugh

Disagree. The etched chains are sensational in the flesh and far far better than the ones supplied in the kits (which to be fair, are very good anyway). They are far more delicate and react as per the prototype (unsurprisingly, seeing as they are individual link chains). There is some fantastic work being done on these Tamiya bike kits.

I guess it's that age old question and answer;

Why bother adding all that extra detail?

It's my kit and I can, that's what gives me the enjoyment.

On one hand that is awesome and I am very impressed.

On the other hand I believe that probably cost more time, effort and money than my Yamaha Supermoto that I restored last year.... And I could actually ride that.

These builds amaze me, the attention to detail is awesome.

I sadly lack the skill and patience to do this frown

The upgraded kit pieces, and the talent to make it all, are brilliant. The plastic kit is £25, what's the cost of the upgraded parts he's got together for that? I found this site that sells the bits, but I got lost after that trying to work out what he had hehehttp://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=26

Oh and here's the build site, but google translated, not a perfect transaltion but it does help a bit with what he's talking about for the pictures.
