Wind chill as well.
This is one of the highest points in southern England and there's nothing to stop the north-east wind between here and Siberia.
However if you're anywhere near the Thames, that will channel it too. Joy.
Indeed, I can throw stones into the Thames from my window. That coupled with my condenstation issues, means this place is less than pleasant right now.. This is one of the highest points in southern England and there's nothing to stop the north-east wind between here and Siberia.

Yeh, we used to live near a high point in hants and it really hits hard when severe conditions arise.

The car today. The snow's a foot thick in places. Sod digging out the driveway, I'm going to wait until it melts:

"Digging"?Err..a hairdryer would sort that out in about 30 seconds...

The driveway is 200 metres, easily.
I haven't needed a hairdryer for years
Point is, that doesn't even come close to needing a shovel. You could drive out of that.
