Seamaster on leather

Is it poor form to swap the bracelet for a leather strap?
I love the watch but it's a tad heavy for daily wear and so I'm thinking of popping it on a leather strap. Clearly, I'd keep the original with the box, certs, etc.

Poor form? It's your watch so wear what you want with it, many people like nylon Nato straps (10 quid) on very expensive watches.

To do the job properly you need a spring bar tool, normally the fine end is for bracelets and the larger end for leather.

Be careful not to scratch anything.

I took the bracelet off my orange P.O. the day I bought it and put it on an Omega strap with orange stitching, put the bracelt in the box with the protectors still on.

I love it on the strap, if I want the bracelet it is there or I wear my Speedy Pro

I took the bracelet off my PO very soon after buying it and replced it with a toshi strap.

Here's my Seamaster on leather. It looks and feels wonderful, it is not an official omega strap though.

Just wear the watch how you want, i do not understand some peoples objections to wearing diver/sport watches on leather.
