Injected nitro burners
Discussion
Reading Eurodragster it seems they are starting up a class of injected nitro burning rails without the current restrictions introduced to try to keep the methanol boys competitive. I remember at Gainesville being impressed by the nitro cars which were running {still thankfully on the full quarter} 5.2/3 at around 275 mph and made almost as much noise as TF. I remember somebody at the time said that without the nitro % limit and a few other tweaks they could run high 4s at 300 mph. I must say a competitive class running that fast over a full quarter would be as attractive to me as TF over 990ft, I'll watch it's progress with interest.

Its something I'll definitely keep an interest in, Bill Reichert and Morgan Lucas have previously run 5.11 and 5.10 respectively in NHRA A-Fuel on 97 or 96% I think. Monroe Guest recently ran 5.15@281 on 94%. So 100% and with clutch management it should be viable to run 4's especially if some of the big hitters get involved.
Im not sure that NHRA trim A/fuelers will reach the fours as there court room jesters will probably put more restrictions on them as they continually find ways to stifle the independent thinkers and make a stagnant show more dull by shortening the track and making more rules!. I think it was keith stark already done it(a 4) testing out with a management system on the clutch a few years back. This was for his own curiosity and nothing more and happened on a low key basis so you probably wont be able to find info about it! We only found out through casual conversation! With the way things are i would personally rather see an A/fueler run the QUARTER than the top fuelers run some kind of short track b*****Ks with numbers that dont mean f**k all! Still saying that we probably wont have nitro soon due to various governments/lobbies/world events. From an engineering point of view i do think A/fuellers are more interesting. Just my opinion

I think I'd better clarify that this is in IHRA and not Europe
Hey Tog, I will give it a go on 100% in Europe at a test and tune or the likes if some kind person would like to sponsor it! Might even get a couple of the other A Fuelers in a shoot out at an appropriate event who knows

Well I for one would pay to see that, for what it's worth. A-Fuelers rock my world!
I like the low RPM when they run. I think there is a difference in sound when the percentage goes up.It seems a deeper sound. Me Seeing the A fuelers in the U.S was an eyeopener this year especially when they only run about 92%?
The drivers over here do excellent aswell. Are there any percentage rule changes for A fuelers in the FIA next year?
