Electric water pumps

Hi, has anyone fitted an electric water pump (Davies Craig) in line with there original water pump? engine is a rover v8 5 litre used for drag racing I was thinking of putting one in line so I can have it running at the end of a timed run just to keep the water circulating and relieve any hotspots cheers David.

only used one without the original pump (as per the DC destructions) in hillclimbs. When the runs finised i leave the rad fans and water pump running but ignition off and will drop the water temps from 90+deg to 40 in about 2-3mins.
good if you have a water cooled turbo too, will pull the heat out of the core nicely
