offset on 18" wheels on an S-Type.

Hi, I am off to look at a 2000 model year Jaguar S-type tomorrow, it sounds like what i am looking for, but has 16" wheels and i want 18" wheels.

I have seen a few styles that i like some are 7.5J wide and some 8J wide but all seem to vary between 40-50 (ET/Offset)

Anyone know what is the best offset to avoid the wheels sitting to far 'in' the wheel arches?

i've got 8.5" jaguar cygnus wheels with an et of 49 and they fill the arches nicely !

Thanks..... great looking car BTW, those wheels really suit it.

In the end i bought an XJ8, and quite like the factory celtic whels that are on the car.
