Anyone else get a mail from 6S1733 about eating humble pie after Top Gear reviewed the new Noble?
I mean, seriously, does this guy even listen to what people say before he makes it personal? We (of which there were a few), said the car would be quick. It'd most likely handle like a dream. What we also said was that its too expensive and looks bland (at best) when compared with its nearest rivals. What exactly did the Top Gear test do to change any of that (I can't view the link because I'm at work and the IT Nazi's don't allow that sort of thing)?!

I quite liked JC's admission he was "really not doing the car justice". Too bad it was cold enough to snow...one would think they taped all of these in the warmer months to have some degree of consistency. Even so the humble pie that has been cooking at Noble Motorcars has cooled sufficient to be served. Help yourself to all you can eat. I'm just glad this isn't a Porsche competitor, its difficult to imagine how much quicker this is than a Carrera GT, which you will notice isn't even in the top 11 any longer. That would mess up my day job."
So its quick. So what? Its still too expensive and too bland FFS. If Nobel manage to sell in the quantities they stated at the price they've set and are still around in a few years then people like me will be nothing but happy for them. But right now they have the wrong formula. Perhaps all the discussion their pricing is generating will make them seriously think about the issue and maybe, just maybe, they will have a re-think.
Irregardless of what the outcome is however, thanks Mr. 6S1733, I didn't like the Nobel before, I seriously dislike it now.

I think we all knew it was going to be fast and I am really glad that it got a good report . I'm also interested to see what Lee comes up with to see if that appeals . Obviously taste is a very personal thing which is why people dont all buy the same car , but I was really looking forward to the new Noble with a view to maybe trading up , but I just cant make myself like the styling , I still think it is far too dear , to be more expensive than a Mc Laren , ferrari 458 etc and I dont think that the colour shows off the car (but obviously thats not an issue if you are buying one , I'm sure you could get it in azure blue !

I wont be eating humble pie yet... the car is still a steel chasis etc with no technology step forward compared to an M12 or Ultima except power and I could build and Ultima for £50k that will destroy the M600 time and top out around the same.
I might consider myself wrong and thus eat Humble pie when they sell their projected 60 cars a year... so in 12mths time Im expected the accounts to show a turnover of around £12m... actually I wonder what R&D is sitting on the B/S? but then I am nosey lol (ascari spent £24m apparently).

To be honest, if I was still in the UK and was looking for something akin to the old Nobel, I'd be banging on Lee's door first simply because I like the guy and want to give him first crack of the ship. All this pro-Dyson rubbish is making me root for Lee even harder than before just to see the little guy who has been instrumental in the UK sportscar scene for as long as I can remember beat the big guy with lots of money playing at running a sportscar company.
Then I'd look to Roisson.
Then I'd drive the 'new' Nobel to see if it is really 3 times the car the other two are.
yep lee gets my vote too. the usp of the noble to me is the fact for the money there is nothing better or even on par. maybe a lotus exige for handling but not power or road presence. however 200k would have my mortgage well paid off and a few spare m12s. if i were at that stage id keep my m12 and buy an f40
