Well the festive periods nearly here, and I thought this thread could be used to get the juices flowing with ride plans and to share ride pictures.

Lets get that fire stoked!woohoo

I'm planning a couple of days at the chase, and a trip up to Llandegla.

I'll start the ball rolling with an early bird picture from last weekend.

Nice pic, RPM. Seeing that and the fact that the sky has suddenly gone blue here (Hampshire) makes me want to get out and ride, so to speak. By the way, you might have edited the supporting stick out of the picture a la magazine shots (or have they found a way of balancing the bike).
Off down to Dorset at some point over the break, depends on Mrs Timbo leaving a day or two without "things to do"........I should be so lucky.

Its imperative you treat your bike to a good thrashing at Christmas, tell her that.

Stick!?, your kidding right? Thats my kick stand. wink

My favourite conditions right now. Dry (well frozen), fast rolling and blue skies. cloud9

Managed to get out for a ride on Friday afternoon last week. I was intending to stay out after dark and try out my new light which was on my helmet. However, just after I took this shot:

my rear cassette hub body snapped leaving me stranded in Stockport! Luckily the wife came to rescue me, otherwise I faced a long walk home. And I still didn't get to test my night light!

New bike for the Missus for Xmas - check
New Oakleys and trail guides from Santa - check
Week's holiday in the Highlands leaving tomorrow - check
Stumpjumper; 25 Years of Mountain Biking book very thoughtfully received for xmas - check

Forks for my Stumpjumper that were due back last week - no idea, possibly at Mojo (closed til 4th Jan) or maybe local Citilink depot (closed til Tues)

crycrycry

Not sure what to do for the best - might have to hire a bike for a couple of days up there or maybe find an LBS prepared to rent me some forks? Any ideas gratefully received as to say I'm grumpy is an understatement ATM!
