Final episode was on last night, nice wee twist to the plot. Did anybody watch it? Did anybody enjoy it?

Everybody I've mentioned it to gives me a blank stare back like I'm talking out of my arse. I thought it was really rather good, and I'm a bit peeved that they've cancelled it after the first series. Although when you look at the viewing figures for the series, I can see why it got dropped as the figures were bloody awful, but I thought it was one of the better dramas out at the moment. Shame it's not based on a book, as I'm quite interested to see what would have happened next!

Or am I really just into crap TV programs that nobody else watches?

I'm watching the last two episodes on my pvr this evening. Don't ruin it for me. Shame its not going beyond 1 series though as it has actually improved since we were informed about Beta.

I've also been watching knight rider which 2/3's of the way through the series has killed off 2 almost main characters and got rid of one other one and is now going back to the "Foundation for Law And Government" basis that the original was based on. I also just watched the episode with Karr in. Some actually quite good CGI for a transforming Mustang/Robot for a series like this.

Flash Forward is getting quite enjoyable too. But thats based on a book so might last one series only. Is there another series of Heroes coming our way? What about Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles? I enjoy both of those!

I’ve been watching this since I’m a sci-fi fan, but I do recognise it has some major flaws.

1. The pacing is glacial at times. It is as if the writers think that any ‘serious’ sci-fi show needs to move at the pace of 2001.
2. Use of flashbacks is poor. Why are they always returning to exactly 5 years ago. Didn’t anything happen in the 5 years in between?-combined with this is the fact that many of the flashbacks are dull/repetitive.

3. Characterisation is not great either. Many of the characters are thoroughly uninteresting.

I will watch it till the end (still have 3 to watch) but deservedly cancelled IMO.

A ‘serious’ sci-fi show does not need to be dull.

It's not perfect, but then I wouldn't have classed it as a serious sci-fi show. I liked it as it was a bit different than a lot of the other dross on the telly at the moment, and while I agree it did at times get a bit repetitive, as long as you concentrated on what was happening the flashbacks worked quite well (my girlfriend watch a couple of episodes, and she found it boring as she couldn't keep up with what was happening)

I also think had it gone onto a second series then they would have had a better chance to develop the characters, as a lot of this series was spent on what the mission was and its' background.

I'm not going to be losing sleep over the fact it was cancelled, but I would've liked to have seen what was going to happen next

Just watched the last episodes today, googled for the next series and it isn't being made.

Why the fxxk have the BBC wasted our money buying a series that doesn't conclude? An enjoyable enough series but no answers... AAAAArrrgggghhh!

The BBC co-produced it, but the Yanks pulled out so it got cancelled. It was based on an earlier BBC docudrama property.

The head writer has released some more details,a nod may release the show 'bible' in the spring.
