We all probably spend far too long watching Dave and the likes. Not until recently I realised at least one hour of my life wasn't completely wasted. Walking home one evening I gazed at the stars and realised that Ray Mears had told me how to identify true North from the stars alone. Completely useless as I didn't know if my house was North, South East or West but I was suprised at this knowledge gleaned from Dave.

Loads of useless stuff (I mean really useless) I can't recall at the moment. I do have a weird ability to remember brand logos and sponsors of sports teams/cars etc without trying. I think I might need a trip to the funny farm...

Why didn't you learn this sort of thing when you were a kid? Too busy watching telly I suppose...

The best way to test any supercar is slide it sideways with smoking tyres.

How to change nappies.

(Had to do this once while babysitting. I can only assume that I knew what to do from watching Pampers* adverts. Being a bloke, I didn't read the instructions on the packet.)

Oli.

-*- - Other brands of nappy are available.

Crap idea, at some point water will end up inside and then all your matches will be ruined.

Instead, melt some wax and dip the head of each match in it. remove straight away and allow to dry. Hey-presto, individually waterproofed matches which still strike just like normal.

Getting back on topic, yesterday I learnt that the pinky-ponk has a ponk-alert siren.

I've learned that the average TV watcher is a retard!

Well, it stands to reason, if companies are making a profit at showing the relentlessly rubbish programs they do, for years on end, then an awful lot of people must watch on a regular basis.

Reality TV?! If that is the nations idea of 'interesting', then that explains an awful lot to me why this country is so messed up.

That on your own 50" sets are manageable but 60" sets lead to a very bad back.

Ha, CRT reduces that to about 32". hehe

Our spare 'old' tv was just slipping from my grasp yesterday, as I laboriously manhandled it through to Princess Heralds room, and my mind fleetingly toyed with the idea of simply letting it go, to crash to the floor, and claiming for a new one on the insurance. They'd have to supply a flat screen of some description, as CRT dinosaurs are no longer available.

scratchchin

Probably claim for a new floor too, as it must weighs north of 150 lbs. yikes
