Le Mans Classic 2010 - An alternative option
Discussion
As you probably know Petrolhead Nirvana are PH's official tour operator but we aren't Le Mans experts which is why we chose to use most peoples favourites Team Langoustine to help organise the Le Mans accomodation portion of this trip.
We're not officialy releasing the 2010 PH tours on PH until January but I know how important it is for everyone to plan early for Le Mans and for the Classic in paricular.
So i thought i'd throw another option into the ring for anyone that fancies making a road trip and a half out of this years Classic. Working with TL we've come up with something that will be a lot of fun.
We're jumping on a ferry to Spain, exploring the roads through Pamplona and taking in the Pyrenees, Andorra and then back into southern France. You'll get to drive some of our favourite back roads and have the chance of a rest day or a trip to the famous Millau bridge.
Then we head to Le Mans where our partners at Team Langoustine have reserved chateau camping accommodation specifically for us. We've included entry, VIP car parking 5 minutes walk from the circuit entrance and paddock passes whilst the chateau has a bar, swimming pool and restaurant so you've everything you need to enjoy the spectacle in comfort. You don't even need to take a tent as we've arranged that for you too! All you need to bring is a sleeping bag.
I wont list everything we're doing but if you fancy the idea the details are here ;

just click on the Le Mans classic tab on the right hand side.
if you've any thoughts or questions we'd love to hear them.
either way we'll see you at the Classic

I can only imagine you think it's too cheap at less than £1k for 10 days including the overnight ferry and cabin, hotels, tour support, VIP parking, sat nav files, walkie talkies, weekend race tickets etc etc
and all the hassle taken out of it. Less than £100 per day isn't bad is it!

It's a sleepy ACO we should be worried about.
I'm looking forward to the TL chateau after a blast around Northern spain and southern France
I would be up for it but can't get time off work. Going to the Classic in any event so see you there.
