Hi, I looked at the IVA manual and it say's minimum LB headlight height is 500mm. Well was wondering where on the headlight ?? bottom of the lens or top ?? presently its 500mm to the middle of my LB unit but was wanting to lower it another 15mm or so but don't want to fall foul of the IVA test later....

Anybody got an experience ??

Cheers Clive

My understanding is 500mm to the bottom of the headlight, so presumably the visible part of the headlight

There is a contradiction in the draft version of IVA manual available on the web. I don't know if this has be corrected in the fully issued version (If such a thing exists).

Section 20 note 1 Says...'In the case of dipped beam headlights the minimum height is measured to the lower edge of the light emitting surface.

However...

Section 25 Table 1 and the note at the bottom says.....'In the case of dipped beam headlights the minimum height is measured to the apparent trace of the beam cut-off on the lens.

Back to square one sorry.

If it is of any help SVA measured to the beam cut-off.
