I put washing up liquid in my dishwasher and now it won't work. Is it beyond repair ?
I know, I know... but I ran out of dishwasher tablets and didn't think it would do any harm. Foam all over the kitchen, and now when I switch it on, it just rumbles away for hours, doesn't wash the dishes, doesn't turn itself off. Is there anything I can do to make it love me again ?

When I was 18 I worked in a pub, and whilst on my own one evening, I decided to clean out the glass washer. I put around half a pint of Fairy Liquid in it and switched it on. Not my finest hour, scooping up foam with a dustpan.
