Loved his old stuff, seen him live twice.......all the reviews for the latest video are great.

5 mins in me and wifey look at each other wondering why the audience are laughing

10 mins in wifey says "is it me, or is this rubbish?"

20 mins - fell asleep

Theres wacky....and theres talking nonsense.

We found it the same as you; We turned it off; luckily I'd not paid for my copy.

Shame really, as his older stuff is incredibly clever.

Hmmm, i've asked for this for xmas.
I'll judge it when i've watched it, his last tour/dvd wasn't really up to much, i'm hoping i enjoy this one more.

We bought the Sexie tour one.

It was ste, actually.

Which is a shame as he used to be quite genuinely hilarious. "Blue Pants. We want you to infiltrate the whites wash. Here are your forged papers."

The man is talented, though, so I can see a return to form is very possible.

It's not bad, but not great, his older stuff was fantastic, i have all the old ones and this is the wost, although there are still moments of hilarity in Stipped, just not like the good old days. It is still better than 70% of the other videos out.

I will say that it is slow at the start but gets better!

What's the name of the one to avoid please?

I LOVED his old stuff, "We're the Romans" etc. so I don't want my nostalgia ruined by this!

another +1 here. I was really looking forward to it as his early stuff is wonderful but was very disappointed.

I was listening to a Mark Kermode podcast a while ago and he said he was wetting himself laughing when he went to see this live. Guess you had to be there.

I went to see this tour live at the O2...and it was absolutely fantastic!

If you havent seen the previous tours, I could imagine it would be difficult to follow some of his thoughts.

Add me to that list. It was dire. This is the one where he goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on about the Veleciraptor driving the car yes? Then does the same joke with a cow?

I like his stuff but this was utterly boring.

It's sad to watch. As some of the stuff around the mid late 90s was hilarious. This just feels tired. And tbh it's not really that much new material. If you've seen the other DVDs you'll get some of the jokes and have heard variations of some of the others.

Sadly. One to be avoided frown
