Sagaris back from the dead

My Sagaris rear end broke away whilst exiting a roundabout two weeks ago. It happened very quickly without warning and whilst I was driving it cautiously due to the damp conditions. After leaving the dual carriageway I hit several small trees before hitting one head-on which stopped me dead.I walked away unhurt

It suffered extensive front end damage, radiator, wings, oil cooler etc and bent the chassis beyond repair........

However I was lucky as chassis's are available and repairs at £15k have been approved yesterday so mine will be back on the road sometime late Jan/Feb.

So at least my Sagaris will make it back from what could have been a write off.

Take care out there, as these conditions and TVR's don't mix.....................

I have been desperate to open the garage door crank over the old girl and go for a blast, then I look at the roads all wet/salt/ice and very quickly come to the conclusion naaa, it breaks my heart to hear of our rare and beautiful cars getting smashed to bits when it could be avoided.

Glad you got out unscathed, and the car can be repaired, guys leave em in the garage until we can enjoy them.

Glad to hear it can be repaired. There are too many being written of this year, victims of the weather I guess. Mine is stuck up at the garage at the moment as we have 12 inches of snow where I live, so I can't get it home. Makes me feel better about having to say I can't fetch the car in this weather.

Will be great when you get it back, hope the rebuild all goes well.

what is it with sagaris drivers at the moment (thats 3 i know of in the last few months).... anything to get a front end respray

Mine's been sitting in the garage, those snow scoops on the front need blowers to blow the snow away - a few gentle miles when it thaws and back to work in January I guess. Drove it in snow last year and the ground clearance is so poor it's not worth trying.

Had a very delicate pirouette demonstration the other day, ice between Inverurie and Aberdeen.
Car behind me had the same thing - pretty sure it wasn't a stage test for TVR on Ice show, but felt like it.
