I paid £8 for a pint of Guiness in Paris earlier this year, and the same in Tokyo. Alcohol over here is cheap.

That's outrageous, £2.15 a pint up here and that's not even the student pub prices smile

€2.75 for 0.5l of lovely German beer here in teh fatherland. That's about about £2.50 even with the mega strong Euro. It was £1.80 a couple of years ago! You're in the wrong place smile

hehe I just had a similar moment. I'm with the outlaws in Taunton and popped into town to do some last minute Xmas shopping. I finished up and decided a pint was on the cards so went to some pub opposite the car park for a £3.50 pint of Kronenbourg yikes I don't even like Kronenbourg, it's just that I refused to pay their £3.20 for Carling or Fosters.

£4.25 must have been in for a Peroni though, surely? Found that out to my cost at the end of a night run on tab last year.

I paid £250 for a bottle of Moet in Barcelona so that I didn't have to queue and could sit in the VIP section, sadly my then girlfriend had crashed out. Suddenly a tune she liked came on and she jumped up. Like a tt I did get another bottle of Moet!

Looking back what a waste of money cost me £3k for Easter weekend!

I hope she's worth it.

Or you had a cracking headache in the morning, especially when you realised how much you'd spent!

Was in Rome a couple of months ago when the Euro was almost on parity with the £.

Paid 8.5 Euros for a beer... not really a 'session' city then.

In fairness though they probably had to import in to Jamaica.

Is that just Cornish Ale, or is lager included?
