When does F1 testing begin?

Testing isn't aloud to begin until Feb 2010, so quite a while for being out of an F1 car for a driver eh...

I'm only about an hour away and it might make a good day out.

Ye would of made a great day out ay, can't wait to see all the new cars on the gris for first race! Plus this all-together 2010 car launch sounds awsome too if it is still happening?

Does anyone know if the public are allowed into say the Catalunya circuit to watch these test sessions or are they closed

Michael Schumacher will be putting in his first appearance in the Mercedes at Jerez on February 10th.
