capri with a 200sx enigine?
Discussion
the sr20 from the 200sx providing you mean the s14 and not the s13 ca18 are good engines but like every engine have there limits .
350 easy enough on stock internals gearboixs are weak but can bolt up a 300zx box or 2wd skline box otherwise tralking qauife and ppg .
my advice would be v8 or 1jz cheap as chips and bullet proof couple that with a r154 gearbox and 500 all day long on stock engine or if want more go for the 2jz twice the price , r154 gearbox cant take much more than 500 and getting a 6speed manual that will take the power is expensive and hard .
pepole remove the sr20 from nissans and fit 1jz engines in purley for there bullet proof and cheap as chips
failing that big ls1 engine with turbo's mmmmm

One of my mates is setting up his capri for competative drifting - he has looked into all the engine options. Apparently the earlier 200sx's that go drifting (s13) frequently don't last a full day on track before the engine goes bang. However like the above poster has stated the later s14s are apparently much better.
My mate though is sticking with Ford and going down the 2.9 cosworth V6 route from the Granada Scorpio. An easy unstressed 195 or 210 PS depending on version, possibly more if you remap and do a few other bits and bobs. He also picked up two of them for something silly like £300. Problem is though you need a granada wiring loom and suitable gearbox - not sure exactly what works myself.
Other options would be a V8 or Cosworth YB. The latter in particular would be mentally fast in a Capri, although I'd imagine would be many thousands to buy the bits and get working right.
