Aspen Honeymoon

Posting on Christmas day...what a loser!
Whilst I hide away I thought I'd gather peoples opinion on a Honeymoon in Aspen.
Amazingly the Honeymoon is being left to myself and as we're looking at a December wedding a ski resort is an appealing idea. Aspen seems to be suitably 'luxurious' and hopefully there will be a decent snowfall at that time.
Having a little driving holiday around the SF area would also be another must and one that I'm allowed
Any thoughts and experiences of Aspen and the West Coast in December would be greatly appreciated.
