So then....I brimmed the tank (literally) just outside Southampton and had to refill 50 miles short of Stranraer. 110 CSW XS Puma diesel with 2 adults, 3 kids and luggage on correct fuel pressures.

I think that's pretty good. I also can not think of a better car to do it in either.

Well, it's definitely better than the 200 miles I used to get out of my 90 V8, but I've only got a 200 mile bladder so a 450 miles range is no use to me!

Yes, good point! We had to stop too!

Should have pointed out that my car has a JE Engineering Stage 2 on it too if that makes a difference to mpg. The power is wonderful.

I average about 28mpg out of my 90SVX.That equates to a range of around 300 miles,mixed driving.

That's about the same as the best that I got out of my 1990 G plated 110 V8 (On a motorway/dual carriage way) run
