Hello PH'ers!

Just got an Xbox 360 MW2 Super Elite - rather happy! Was just wondering if anyone had an Xbox data transfer kit they were willing to share?

Clearly will pay for any costs

Cheers and Merry Christmas beer

Morning,

Yeah, Just taken a look on their site - now £9.95 with the potential of a 2 week wait, yawn! I was just hoping that PH would be quicker and more efficient than a computer super power :P

depends where you bought the hd from, i didnt.

then i bought a data transfer cable off internet, cable was fine, the disc they sent with the software to use it was a hand written copy!!! and better than that, it didnt work.

got as far as complaining, and then my 360 rrod frown

stil no closer to transfering stuff onto my new hd.

That's nothing, I heard they don't even include the HDMI cable with the Elites anymore, which sort of defies the fking purpose of it!

Don't suppose anybody else has got one that can be borrowed? Had to replace my original xbox after it died, would rather not give microsoft even more money.

if your a member on the avforums go to the xbox forum and they have like 10+ cables that users keep until someone else needs them and then they just pass it on

Yah, but you need to be a member for more than a year and have +10 feedback and 200+ posts. I didn't, so I acquired one by other means.

glad to see you got sorted

i loved the whole AVforums thing - they had a sticky at the top and people would request one - a member of the forum volunteered as a over-seer of the whole thing and which cable was with which user etc. some cables/users do tend to disappear which is natural but generally it was all done pretty good.

Yep quite true - I bought an Elite a couple of days ago and it does not come with an HDMI cable, and ever more, the component cable that comes with it is not the one with the optical out socket on it, so for now I'm using the component cable and optic cable from my other xbox whilst I get some CoD practice in.

I don't suppose there's a kind PHer out there that would lend me a cable in exchange for a few beer tokens? I'd obviously cover postage costs smile

Quite happy for Al to pass it on to you once he's finished with it (after I've sent it of course...). As long as it comes back eventually...
