Am I the only one who is slightly wound up about the adverts/notices you see saying 'make sure your laptop cannot be seen inside your house' / 'Don't wear your personal ipod/mp3 player in public'? Usually these adverts are sponsored by the Home Office.

Surely I think a better advert would be, 'If you break-in, steal or rob someone, expect a severe beating and a custodial sentence'?

Peace out

Didn't you realise that it's YOUR fault if something gets stolen...

You shouldn't have anything of value and if you do, it serves you right if it gets nicked rolleyes

Glad all those thousands I've paid in Council Tax over the years is being put to good usemad

The people who make these adverts are not living in the real world. They live in the same world that all our politicians and judges live in.The nice candy coated world where everything is nice.

It is a sad state of affairs but all across the board, good law abiding honest people are being told that they must protect themselved against the criminals, and that crime doesn't pay. Crime does pay it would seem, very much so.

I used to carry around two wallets when I lived ina really rough area. One with all my stuff in, and one with a couple of out of date cards, and a fiver.

Someone asks you to hand over the wallet, they get the crap one obviously!

While career criminals keep getting rewarded with easy pleasent prison time with their mates as a social club, and silly incetives not to reoffend, nothing will change.
