I've just rather stoopidly deleted a video from my Canon G10 thinking it was a naff photo.

Anyone know of a good recovery software tool thats for Mac OSX and is free?? smile

I used RescuePro from lc-tech.com to recover data from a Sandisk CF card that corrupted last week.

You can download a trial free and it will offer to recover your data free BUT, once it's found your deleted files be very selective about which you want to recover as there's a limit of about 15 files on the free version - it does preview all files it can recover so if poss select only the video you're after.

I ended up paying to register as I needed to recover 40 or so files (it found 500 on the card dating back to September, and the card's been formatted many times since then) and there's another BUT: you must be online on the PC with the software to activate it... or spend 20 minutes on the phone to tech support in America, with customers waiting for their prints whistle

I've used Recuva successfully a few times, but that's on Windows. There may be a Mac version though. As long as you don't write anything to the memory card anything that's there won't disappear. Good luck! smile
