RRS V8???

I need some advice as to what my budget will stretch to, about 25K, would really like a V8, been used to driving X5's so don't want to lose any power and torque.
Also what to look out for on various models.

£25k should just about get you a MY 2005 SC V8 I bought this a couple of weeks back, 39000 miles, rear dvd, black with Ivory leather, 2 owners and in mint condition with Full Guy Salmon Service History.

That looks very nice indeed, happy with it?
I could do with getting a better idea of different models, and years they were introduced, been trawling the internet but cannot find a decent site to explain all the different models etc.
Anyone suggest a site, or better still explain the differences to me.

The V8 has bags of power but is obviously quite thirsty, Ive averaged 14 mpg after approx 400 miles, if you drive it hard you will easily get single digits!

As far as the models go I cant realy help, I have read on here to steer clear of the V6 as it is a bit sluggish, (the performance figures confirm this). I also read that the SC comes fully loaded and the only options were Sunroof and rear dvds.

Im not sure how accurate this is as I have seen a few adverised without the Side Bars. The one I bought also has a fridge in the centre console in between the two front seats, the owner manual refers to this as an option so not sure if these are standard on the supercharged car either? Ive Certainly had no need for it so far with the weather weve had!!!
