Well after a couple of busy afternoons the front end work is going well !! new oil cooler fitted as well as pro-alloy rad and all new water hoses ,tunnel mod is all done as well

Bit of discussion with my dad about which way the disc go on ,in the end decided to put them as the old ones were !! hope thats right any input welcome !

As for the rotors being "handed", direction of rotation should make little or no difference with respect to cooling. Also, for example, it is well documented that the right and left side Elise/Exige rotors are identical (surface and internal vane configuration) as fitted.

The groove cleans up the leading edge of the pad and remove dust and debris therefore helping to prevent glazing, I would guess on the track where the brakes are used hard they make very little difference, but on the road where they don't often get hot groves maintain the initial bite to the brakes. Just for absolute clarity, the external groove orientation is inconsequential.
The VANES are the critical element and are shaped to pull air in from the centre inner of the hub, and then get trailed outwards to the outer edge. Tux's picture above has the disc on correctly. This applies (obviously) only to "handed" discs, not all discs are handed.
AP 6 pot discs with a straight outer groove, (on the friction surface) tend to lead at the outer edge, but the internal vane structure is still trailing. If you're not sure, stick something into the vanes from the top, whichever side of the car you do it on, the inserted item should lean backwards.

Just had a chat with the tech guys from AP Racing and they confirmed that the grooved discs for the Noble are in fact straight vaned - so it doesn't actually make any difference to cooling which ever way round they are mounted.
That's incorrect Rob, the grooved (curved outer groove) disc comes from the AP Racing CP3580 family.This is a 30mm wide disc, with 48 CURVED internally vented veins, with a 14mm air gap. These can be mounted the wrong way as they are "handed". Please refer to my previous comment above.
