This might be in the wrong forum but here goes.

Does anyone know of any regional airline that operate in and out of Prestwick from East Midlands, Birmingham and Manchester.I am starting work in Kilmarnock towards the end of January 2010 for five weeks and I am looking at getting me and a couple of lads back for weekends without the long drive on a friday night and Monday mornings.

Not aware of any, seems Ryanair operate 90% of flights from Prestwick. If you're working in Kilmarnock you may just be as easy flying from Glasgow?

Thanks BMR, it seems Glasgow is more favourable for flights back to the midlands at the right price.

I see from your profile you are in Ayrshire, do you by anychance know the Kilmarnock area as I could do with a few recommendations on good B & B's.

There is a Holiday and Travel forum which is probably the best place for a discussion like this smile

Having lived in Kilmarnock and the surrounding area for 12 years, my advice would be don't stay in Kilmarnock unless it's absolutly necessary, as the place is an utter dump.

However, chances are you don't want to have to commute any great distance, so I'll second the visit Scotland website for suggestions, or a blast on google. There's a Travel lodge on the outskirts, but no idea about prices
