News reports say normally firing squad although lethal injection being slowly introduced.

Shooting still the main method - they were saying on the news today.

1700 last last year. That's good going.

I saw some pics on the net but just wanted to confirm that was still the method.

Shambolic scenes of guards still holding prisoner and bending out of the way whilst shot was taken...

Young woman with hands tied behind her back is dragged by 2 guards to a embankment, another guard comes up behind, the 2 guards lean to the side and the 3rd guard takes the shot.

Half her head is missing.

I googled chinese execution, and it brings up said image pre gun shot.


ETA and somewhere further down the age is the woman with half a head, wearing the same jumper. Nice.

Pretty sure the 'milk powder' duo were shot in the neck. Given the number of victims it doesn't seem excessive.

I don't think many executions are "nice and clean" - even the lethal injection ones.

Not nice and I certainly have no intention of visiting web sites that host such images.

Cheap, simple & effective, like the Chinese way of life ?
I don't agree with it, but that's only because I don't trust the Chinese (or indeed our own) judicial system.
