Help does anybody know the location of the VIN number that is stamped into the chassis of a Noble M12 GTO 3R, I have read all the posts ref vehicles leaving the factory without VIN plates however there is no indication of the location for the actual chassis stamp.

Think if you look under the front clam it is on top of a chassis rail near the offside wheel

Thanks for your quick response Andy, does not appear to be there have looked both sides it’s a bit of a poor show as the VIN is supposed to be reasonably accessible according to DVLA rules, any steer is welcome I have been looking in all the obvious places for 2 to 3 hours now hence the cry of desperation anyone else got any ideas.

Thanks to the Andy’s there is one under the carpet in front of the driver’s seat guy's your quick responses have sorted a bit of a conundrum for me, thanks also to Leon but is that the VIN plate you are pointing me in the direction of or is there maybe another mark there on the chassis. I will let you in on my conundrum perhaps you should check your cars! I have sold my Noble to an Italian guy deposit taken, he asked me to take a photo of the VIN plate for his agent in Italy to start the registration process for him at home it would appear that the NOBLE MOY VIN plate on the car has a digit missing the number that you pointed me in the direction of i.e. in front of the driver’s seat (starts SA93) tallies up with the V5 the number on the vin plate (starts SA3)

that is just a vin plate and will not make the DVLA happy as it can be changed

I have just been though it all with the DVLA as my car had a ramdom check on a number plate change and what a load of hassle that was.

any way we could not find a hard stamped one but the DVLA let me off and just used the Rivit on plate in the end.
