"5" Speed?

Hi all, hope you all had a great holiday. I have seen a 290s for sale on ebay and it says that is 4 speed. Now I have a S1 (280S) I believe and I have a 5 speed box. Does this mean mine has been changed or did they all come with a 5 speed and the ebay one could have been changed.

Typo? Maybe they hit 4 instead of 5?

I thought all S models were 5 speed, even my 84 wedge is.

My M's from the 70s were 4 speed but that was a long time ago!

Hi,
I can throw some light on this as I have been in contact with the seller.
They say they inputted the vehicle reg' into a couple of databases and the same result came back ie 4 speed.
No one has checked the car physically or even eyeballed the gear knob.
They operate a salvage yard, these things are not important to them.

Thanks for the link Lance, I have seen those but mine look better than those! My drivers has a big rip in it and needs some attantion but if I have it recovered it will look odd and so I am on the look out for some Chim seats
