Honda DC5 running on Motec M400

Hi Guys,
Just after a bit of advice, im running Motec M400 on my Honda DC5 engine. I just need to know if your supposed to run the 'VTEC Solenoid valve' at one of the Aux Outputs (1-4) as well as 'VTC Oil control solenoid' at one one of the aux outputs (1-4). Also what are the functions of each solonoid?
The reason fot the question is that i've just had my engine Loom back from a "specialist" and they've only added the 'VTC Oil control solenoid' to Aux1 Output, they've left the VTEC Solonoid valve off??
The car is a Nemesis sports prototype.
